It’s that time of year again. No more League matches until after the Christmas/New Year break, so time to lay down your rackets and enjoy the holidays!
At the halfway point the Leagues are looking like this-
Open Division 1 - Exeter A are unbeaten after 4 matches and have a 17 point lead over defending champions, Ringswell A. Can they keep the lead and win the League?
Open Division 2 - Exeter C sit in pole position with 77 points after 6 matches, but Ringswell C in second place have a match in hand and Honiton A are 64 points adrift but have only played 1 match so a good unbeaten run could propel them into the final mix
Open Division 3A- Honiton B lead the way with 3 wins from 3 and 8 points ahead of second place St Leonard’s C - this could be decided when they play each other in early February
The new club Unicorn have acquited themselves well so far with a win, loss and draw to date
Open Division 3B - Exeter E are a phenomenal 30 points ahead of second place Honiton C( who have also played 1 extra match)- Exeter E have 71 points and only dropped 1 point so far. Assuming Honiton C are their nearest rivals they will only need a further 24 points to win the Division.
Ladies Division 1 - it looks like last years top 2 Queens and Exeter A will be the top 2 again at the end of season but who will be champions. Lady years champs, Queens, are currently second 8 points behind Exeter A but with a match in hand
Mixed Division 1 - Ringswell A sit comfortably at the top with 5 wins from 5 and a healthy 27 points clear from Exeter A
Mixed Division 2 - Ringswell C could make it a clean sweep for Ringswell in the mixed. They have won their first 4 matches and are 15 points clear. But Honiton A have a match in hand so are in a fabulous position to challenge
Have a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing you all back on court in 2026
